I'm a freelance photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a tenacious and creative photographer who loves to grab his cameras to take any kind of photos you need. To me, the most important thing is the story. So many of us want to use images to let other people know about the events in our lives, the work we've accomplished or the beauty we've seen. From television
beginnings.
My career has always been in local news. I was a photographer, editor, producer, executive producer and news director over the course of my 25 years in that industry. While I loved the writing part of those jobs, I was always attracted to the visuals. Good video, good graphics and good photos. It took me a long time to realize, but seeing the beauty in people and places has become my passion. Now that I’m a little older, I want to put that love to work and do what I can to help organizations, families and individuals remember the most important moments of their lives.

One thing I’ve noticed in my career, most visuals are posed. Most news interviews are done in a chair or in front of a sign or building. Portraits are all about saying cheese. However, I think there’s power in capturing moments that aren’t staged. I believe I have a unique ability to take pictures of events as they happen so they can tell a story. Sure, we will do the basics, but my hope is you’ll have trust in me to photograph the genuine expressions which make you or your company who you are.
